A family fish table in Andifli, Kaş

Etna Fish House is a family-run fish restaurant in Andifli, the old quarter of Kaş, a couple of minutes uphill from the harbour. One family runs it: the same people buy the fish in the morning, cook it in the evening and bring it to your table.

What that means in practice is worth spelling out, because it is the part most visitors ask about. The fish is bought daily and sold by season, not from a freezer. It is cooked plainly — grilled or pan-fried — because good fish does not need rescuing. The salad bar is included with your main and you help yourself as often as you like. Tea and a few bites of dessert arrive after dinner without being ordered, and without appearing on the bill.

We are not on the waterfront, and that is deliberate. A back street costs you a two-minute walk and saves you the harbour markup. If you want the view, Kaş has plenty of it for the price of a coffee afterwards.

English is spoken at the table, the menu is in English, and you are welcome to ask what came in that morning before you decide. In July and August the street tables fill before dark — if you are set on eating with us, it is worth booking ahead.
